Travel Grant
Jersey Sport offer support to the local community via their Travel Grant. The aim of this grant is to support the development of Jersey athletes by providing financial assistance towards the travel costs associated with off-island sporting competitions or training camps. The grant is applied for by the Club on behalf of members travelling to competitions of a level that they cannot obtain on island.
Application Process & Timetable

SEP - NOV | Coach or Athlete | Athlete plans their next season off island travel. For junior athletes (under 18), this should be done in conjunction with their coach. |
Early JAN | Coach or Athlete | Coach or Athlete inputs their planned off-island competition travel into the Club SharePoint. All known planned travel should be input - changes and additions can be made later. Athletes and coaches need to request access to the List in SharePoint, then accept the access given, following which a link to the Travel Grant will be sent out and will be available for input. |
By end JAN | Grants Officer | Collates all information input by members and submits the annual Travel Grant application to Jersey Sport |
Post Competition | Coach or Athlete | Following the date of travel, the Coach or Athlete must re-enter the SharePoint and confirm that the intended travel did take place - also confirming the number of attendees on the trip, and attach copies of receipts for the costs incurred. |
Throughout the year | Grants Officer / Treasurer | Review grants applied for and issue refunds if required and if not already included in the cost of the trip (if a Club organised trip). |
