JSAC takes on the Hospice 2 Hospice HM 2025

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ JSAC club members and Tuesday Runners were out in force at the Hospice 2 Hospice Half Marathon.

πŸ† Up at the front Josh Brien broke the course record and won the race. JSAC Island Games athlete Rahul Kini was close behind, and also came in under the previous course record.

πŸ† Jess Troy made it a clean JSAC sweep by winning the ladies race with Rebecca Tinnelly less than a minute behind followed in closely by Fran Monticelli.

πŸ… There were strong performances throughout the field with many PBs being set.

Phil Ahier put in a solid run to score a top 10 position.
Will Dupre ran an impressive race kicking on strongly in the second half to finish under 80minutes.
Nick Middleton and Scott Welsh both ran a great race to finish within 20seconds of each other. Those Tuesday sessions are really paying off.
Ben Watts had a hard slog despite not feeling at his best, still coming in under the 90min mark. Things are looking good ahead of his London marathon.
Paul Bish continued his improvement streak with a new PB, proving age is just a number.
Rosie Adamson ran a PB as she prepares for the Guernsey Marathon and remembering what coach Dave Woodsford said to her- just get to ten miles and then there’s only a 5k to go!
PB John MacPherson retained his PB moniker with yet another PB, getting under 90mins for the first time.
Track coach and Club XC organizer Nick Williams ran a strong race to achieve his target time of 1hour30minutes.
Brian Reade continued in his good form despite having a few niggles.
Andy Du Val scored his fastest time since moving into the 60-69 age category.
Lara James had a solid run picking the pace up expertly towards the finish.
Helen Day ran a great time even with struggling with her breathing/sinuses through the second half of the race.
John Brian dipped under the 1hour 40 mark looking very comfortable.
Jilesh Chohan added the half into a 20mile run as part of his London marathon preparations, holding a strong consistent pace.
Katie Cartwright bounced back from illness putting in a strong time ahead of her two marathon majors in two weeks challenge.
Justin Lloyd-Jones put in an impressive time showing his comeback is well and truly underway.
George Lumley set a great pace for a friend targeting 1.45.
Spencer Woolley and Rob Benest both ran well, coming back from injury, showing their Ironman training is right on track.
Carolyn O’Boyle paced the race superbly with negative splits setting a new course PB.
Lisa Garrett scored a new PB taking her well under the infamous 2hour mark.
Sue Le Ruez put in a strong performance to win her age group (and ran faster than any women in the one below!).
Kimberley Lloyd-Jones ran a strong second half to put distance between herself and the 2hr pacer.
Chris Pugsley had a good run, looking strong as he crossed the finish line. Those Tuesday runners sessions are clearly making a difference.
Roy McCarthy and Bernie Arthur both ran a great race, coming in comfortably under 2hours.
Debbie Reeve scored herself a new PB.
Ismail Mahmood had a strong run despite fasting.
Joan Inwood bravely made it to both start and finish lines after having an unfortunate fall the week before.
Steve Falle traded in his oftentimes high-viz vest and ran a respectable race.
Peter James ran well, smiling in all the photos despite the drizzly conditions.
Geoff Nott completed his 30th half marathon and smashed his time from last year by 13minutes.
