JSAC Ogier Cross-Country Series – Event 2 – Report and Results

A beautiful mid-December Saturday afternoon saw the second event in the JSAC Ogier Cross-Country Series take place, with over 100 runners of all ages descending on Noirmont for some festive running cheer in stunning surroundings.  After the storms of recent weeks, we were lucky to be graced by splendid weather – with sunshine lighting up the course and even a rainbow making a picturesque appearance.

It was a fantastic turnout, with runners giving some top performances across the various age categories from U9s to Adults.  The participants all demonstrated great sportsmanship, enthusiasm and resilience – with more contenders for “runners of the day” than we had medals for.

A huge thank you (as always) to all those involved, with a special mention to Linda who ran check-in so efficiently all day, Ethan who kindly volunteered (again) to be the lead / tail runner for the younger age groups and our wonderful photographer Jess who was on hand once again to capture all the action.

A particular note of gratitude also goes to Helen, Kevin, Jo, James, Daniel, Amanda, Sarah, Toby and the other parents who volunteered to help.  Your dedication and support were crucial, and your efforts in guiding and cheering on the runners greatly contributed to the success of the day.

Next up is Beauport on 1 February 2025 for Event 3.
