Enter the JSAC Club Championships for Sunday 22nd June

Published: May 2014

The annual Club Championships are being held on Sunday 22nd June 2014 at the FB Fields. We want to involve as many athletes, parents and family members as possible, to make it a family day for all to enjoy. FULL LETTER HERE

The Championships are open to ALL junior club members who have fully paid up memberships for 2014.  If you are in doubt as to your membership status, then please ask, or if you are not yet a member, please join.  All the information and forms are available at the Clubhouse.

These Championships are primarily for the junior athletes from U9 up to and including the U17 age group. However, any athletes over that age may enter events as guests.

Attached is an entry form.  Please fill it out carefully.  The charges are £5.00 for one event, £7.00 for two events, £8.00 for three events and £9 for four events. N.B. Four events are only available to those athletes who are competing in the 1500m on Thursday. All other athletes are allowed a maximum of three events.

Completed forms, together with a cheque in an envelope marked ‘Club Championships’ should be left in the entries box in the clubhouse at the FB Fields. Cheques should be made payable to Jersey Spartan Athletic Club.

The Little Brother & Sister Race will be for non-members under the age of 8.  It will run towards the end of the competition day and names for the entrants will be taken on the day. There is no charge for this one race.

Please take note that the closing date for entries is 7.30pm Tuesday 10th June 2014. Please get your entry forms in as quickly as possible.  Late entries will be accepted only under exceptional circumstances and as authorised by the organisers. All entry fees are non-refundable.

As soon as we know the entry numbers, we shall issue a timetable of events.

This will be available at the Club House.

To ensure a safe, successful and enjoyable day it is absolutely essential that we have lots of help, from athletes and their families. We will need assistance during the day out on the field, in the office and in the canteen. No experience is necessary as experienced track officials will be on hand to help. There is room on the attached form to indicate offers of help and we would appreciate it if you could support the Club in this way.

Refreshments in the form of tea, coffee, soft drinks, homemade cakes and biscuits will be available to buy throughout the day from the Club House, and we are also hoping to set up a BBQ facility to run all day.
